Marathon 1 – Chester 2011 – The quest for a sub 3 continues :-(

…so that sort of gives the game away, but I wasn’t feeling great and haven’t been for about three weeks now so a sub 3h10 is very good. It qualifies me for London 2013 (the deadline is well and truly gone for the 2012) and so it’s a good start to the year.

As for the Chester marathon? A great event. Lots of panicking and fuss going on, it’s not run with military precision, but it’s a good event. I’ll drop a full race report, complete with photographic evidence over the next couple of days, including a revelation about how ‘flat’ it is ;-)

Oh and I finished in 3h09m18s, 121st place out of up to 4000 runners. Not bad eh?!?

Andy.

    Not bad!!!!!

You’re either a legend or have access to some serious shit.
I prefer the former- you’re an inspiration – this time last year you were plodding around at 5:30minute k’s (9min mile in your lingo)
    Awesome
