Day 15 – Halloween Run Reccy and a Bit More

This morning Dave and I headed out to Hankley Common so he could show me where I’m going to be marshalling next Sunday for our Club’s Halloween run. Photos and information can be found HERE and according to RunnersWorld reviews, it was a fun challenge. See the reviews and enter online HERE!

Having run eight out of the ten miles of the route, I can guarantee it’ll be an event you won’t forget in a hurry! ‘Satan’s Sands’, ‘Devil’s Drop’, the Blood Bath and ‘Hell’s Hill’ are all looking challenging to me! See you there on Sunday…

While we were over there Dave played tour guide and showed me the concrete walls the British Army used during the second world war to practice their explosive techniques for the D-Day landings. Interesting stuff!

After 8 miles of the common, we headed home. Later I decided I was a bit too full of energy and needed to get rid of some so I ran out to the ranges and dashed up and down some of the trails to cover another six. Fourteen for the day is ok but next weekend is going to need to be long.

Busy busy week ahead this week and apologies for being useless at updating the blog over the last week. I’ve been away, and running too so will be up to date shortly, I promise!

Andy.
