Day 22 – Congratulations to everyone who completed the Hankley Hustle

This morning I headed out early so I’d have time to run my section of the race and check the signs and decoration. I did, but only just. Last night’s heavy heavy rain and strong wind had taken it’s toll on lots of the preparation the club had done and I spent my time reinforcing signage with whatever I could lay my hands on. Twigs mainly!

It made for a very slow three miles, but that’s three more in the bank! I’m hoping to have time to clock up a few more miles tomorrow. We’ll see…

The event seemed good. It’s a challenging course, but everyone seemed to be enjoying it throughout. I started out marshalling at the top of a hill, around 3 miles and then headed down to meet Dave/Death/Uncle Fester (depending on what point in the day you saw him!) at the 4 mile/9 mile crossover. It was good to see everyone nearly finished and still going. Well done everybody! Feedback after the event yesterday was really very complimentary and well done to the guys at the club who organised it all. A superb event guys and gals!

Andy.
